The rumor at the time was also for the Galaxy S24 series so we are inclined to take this with a grain of salt. But a Chinese certification organization really does claim that the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra can handle satellite communications for when you don't have cellular coverage.
"Proof" of this is provided in the form of the image below. We see the future type number of the S25 Ultra, the SM-S938, although written as "SM-S9380." And we see the words "Satellite mobile terminal." Is this enough proof?
Also strange is that we cannot find the certificate at China Quality Certification Center on the website. Incidentally, the certificate also talks about 45W fast charging, just like the current Galaxy S24 Ultra. The rumor that the S25 Ultra did not get faster charging had been going around for some time.
See first, then believe
We park this rumor for a while but remember it. We want to see additional proof that Samsung will offer satellite communications for its upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra as well. The fact that we also saw similar rumors about the S24 series, something that did not come true, proves enough.
