The first official pictures of a smartphone running Windows Phone 7 have been unveiled. The LG Optimus 7 will probably be presented next week. The pictures are meant to be handed over to the press then.
We expect the official announcement of the new handset to be there soon. Next monday, October 11th, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will hold a press conference, in which he will announce Windows Phone 7. We'd be surprised if he doesn't show a handset. The LG Optimus 7 could be one of them.

LG earlier announced that the Optimus 7 will be capable of recording video in 720p. The device has a display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and will include DNLA support. With DNLA, multiple media devices, like smartphones and TV's, can communicate wirelessly.
