In line with the strategy of offering more mid-range Windows Mobile devices that appeal to a wider audience at a lower price point, the i-mate JAQ3 is a dedicated messaging phone that boasts the many familiar applications of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC.
Designed with user preferences in mind, its full QWERTY keyboard, five navigation buttons and scroll wheel allow for easy navigation and use of services including email. Furthermore, the landscape 2.4' colored touch screen supports the use of the stylus as an increasingly popular means of accessing and writing email and messages.
As the other i-mate devices in the portfolio, the i-mate JAQ3 enjoys the benefits of Window Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC including Windows Mobile Direct Push Email, Hotmail and MSN Messenger access, Microsoft Office Mobile, Windows Media Player Mobile and Internet Explorer Mobile. The phone also enjoys the Club i-mate value added services and customer support - www.clubimate.com - and 2.0 Mpixel camera.
The i-mate JAQ3 is now available in the Middle East and comes with i-mate Suite pre-installed as a trial package to enable users to test the benefits of minimized downtime, safeguarded data, and secure access and transfer of information on the go. We expect the device, which is related to the Ubiquio 501, to hit the European region in the upcoming months, but there is no final confirmation about that.
Current specifications:
There is no 3G/UMTS available in the device. The JAQ3 is thinnest PocketPC phone around currentlywith its thickness of 13.5 mm. When more information is shown, we will inform about the new device.
