LG to come with a new Android handset?

An XML-sheet made by LG shows that the Korean company will launch a new Android smartphone. The P999, as the handset is called, has a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

The handset will be the big brother of the Optimus One, a midrange Android phone. Some specifications can be deduced from the information on the sheet. It appears that the smartphone won't have a physical QWERTY keyboard. The phone will have four keys. You can connect to the internet over HSDPA/HSUPA, and possibly also over WiFi. The phone supports many european languages, so it's probable that it will come to Europe.

First steps

Pictures of the phone have not yet been released. Adding some XML sheets is one of the first steps LG takes when working on the launch of a new phone. Possibly, the phone will be presented on the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, an event that will be held form 14 to 17 february.
