Android 3.0 Honeycomb media player leaked

Google is working on some big improvements for Androids media player. In the next version of the operating system, you'll find a player with a new look. The new app offers the option to directly stream music from the internet.

The new music app gets a colorful background, instead of the current black default background. The player already has been spotted in the presentation that Andy Rubin gave of a new Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The pictures of that event were to vague to judge the functionality of the app. Now, we have more, for instance on YouTube:

Own music service

An interesting detail is the menu-button in the application. At the moment, the menu button in Android is a physical one. That may change. It is expected that the new music app is launched alongside a Google music service. Google wants to attack iTunes by Apple. Android would be a good platform to start the battle.
