Gingerbread requires same hardware as Froyo

Unlike earlier rumours had, Google says that Android 2.3 Gingerbread requires no better hardware than Android 2.2 Froyo, so installing Gingerbread on 2010 midrange handset should be possible.

The comment that Gingerbread requires similar hardware like comes after confusion that has been started mainly by LG. On its Facebook page, the Korean company stated that Gingerbread requires a 1 Ghz processor. And upgrade for the Optimus One thus wouldn't come. Whether it comes or not, we now know that te requirements of Gingerbread are not the dealbreaker.

Samsung

At the same time, Samsung told the world of its doubts about upgrading the Galaxy S, but actually, that was only the statement of the American part of Samsung. In India, Samsung made other claims. Samsung India says "Gingerbread will be available for the Galaxy S." We hope the truth comes from India this time.
