The Motorola Cliq won't ring a bell for many people in Europe, but DEXT will. It's the European edition of the Cliq. This midrange Android handset will soon have a successor.
Rumour has that the handset will be called Cliq 2, but it's not improbable that it will be called DEXT 2, as that is the name under which the DEXT hits the market in Europe.
Most interesting detail is the keyboard layout. Wit the asymmetric design, it seems rather unorthodox at first sight, but is makes the phone more funky than its predecessor. Save the full QWERTY keyboard, the Cliq 2 comes with MOTOBLUR, Motorola's own Android skin that takes care of social network integration. Further specs are a 5 megapixel camera with flash and support for WiFi N.
Announcement
The first chance for Motorola to announce this new handset will be the CES, which will be held in Las Vegas early January. We expect the Cliq 2/DEXT 2 to be announced officially there. The first new Cliq will be in shops soon afterwards.
