Cell phones with long battery life
Need a mobile phone with a big battery? Here you will find an overview of all phones available in the Netherlands with a thick battery and thus a long battery life. This way you will never have battery stress and never have an empty phone battery unexpectedly.

The capacity of a phone battery is indicated in mAh (milliampere-hour) where; the higher the number the longer the battery life. Even though phone batteries are getting bigger and bigger, we only list above the ones with at least 4000 mAh.
Battery saving tips
You can do some things yourself to get the most out of your phone battery. The biggest energy eater is the screen, so the less you have the screen on the longer your battery will last. But there are other tips. We list the most important ones:
- Decrease the screen brightness or set it to auto
- Set the screen timeout as low as possible
- Turn off Bluetooth, NFC and WiFi if you don't use it
- Set the location method to save mode
- Turn off vibrate for the keyboard
- Update your phone regularly
- Use your phone's battery saver mode if available
There are further persistent rumors that forcibly closing apps increases battery life. That's not true. Most popular mobile operating systems, meanwhile, deal well with apps running in the background or ever open. Sometimes forcibly closing apps can actually work to your disadvantage. If you have really strong suspicions that a particular app is causing battery problems, we actually recommend uninstalling it completely. In that case, try looking for an alternative app.
Keep phone battery in good condition
In the end, no one avoids charging their phone. It is best to do this not at night but during the day while you are awake. In 2017, the Fire Department along with the Insurance Association issued a warning not to charge cell phones at night. This is because there is a very small risk of overheating and fire.
It is also not good for the battery to charge it to 100 percent every time. Draining a battery completely does not promote its life either. The most ideal is to keep it between 50% and 80%. Short charging periods maximizes the life of your phone battery. Something that has only become more important with built-in phone batteries.
