Oppo A72 product details
The Oppo A72 is an affordable smartphone with modern looks and fine specifications. For example, it has a large bezel-less screen, a large battery and 48MP quad camera. But is it also a good choice? Time to find out.
Sharp screen with eye care mode
Those who still want a skilled phone but do not want to pay the first prize for it, Oppo released the A72. At least that's how it seems, because on paper it has everything you can expect from a modern smartphone. A large 6.5 inch sharp screen for example. It's almost everywhere against the edge with only a small hole in the top left corner in front of the selfie camera. In order to be able to look at the screen for a long time as well, Oppo has equipped the A72 with a special eye care mode. This reduces the amount of blue light depending on the amount of ambient light. Blue light in particular causes tired eyes. To save your eyes even more, there is even a Dark Mode available. Friendly for your eyes and the battery. With a maximum brightness of 480 nits, the panel alone is not very bright. Although that's only annoying outdoors in sunlight.

The focus on the cameras
On the beautiful light reflecting back we find a so called AI Quad Camera. This is a camera system consisting of four lenses that takes the most beautiful pictures with the help of artificial intelligence. The main sensor measures 48MP and shoots sharp and detailed shots. The f/1.7 lens ensures that you can do this even in the dark without having to flash. There is also an ultra-wide-angle camera with 119° lens for wide shots of landscapes, for example. The other 2 cameras use the A72 to take beautiful portrait photos. For example, one lens recognizes depth while the other only captures shots in black and white. Because the latter only has to deal with 2 colors, he shoots sharper shots. Ideal for portrait photography, possibly with an out-of-focus background. A pity is that the camera's are a bit protruding.

Large battery can even power others
The Oppo A72 is equipped with a large battery of no less than 5000 mAh. You will not find them much bigger at the moment. There is support for fast charging, but this can be done with up to 18 Watt, so full charging still takes some time. Another handy feature of its large battery is that it can be used to charge other devices. There is also plenty of storage memory. At 128 GB, it is remarkably large in this price category. Oppo chooses to power the A72 with a Snapdragon 665 processor. This is a so-called mid-range chipset that is often sufficient for average use. However, you won't win races with it. Furthermore, it is good to mention that there are stereo speakers present. Ideal for listening to music. Do you prefer to do that with ears in that's good to know that the A72 just has a 3.5mm audio jack input at the bottom.
