Tomorrow Google will officially launch the real Google Phone; the Google Nexus One. Not only does it run with the new Android 2.1, there are more surprises. We'll preview the new phone.
This will not be the first time that you've heard of the Google Nexus One ! We will assume that you know what we are talking about.
We are talking about Google's own (produced by HTC) Android phone. The first with version 2.1 and looking very much like the Iphone. But, that is not so difficult with a touchscreen-phone. Now that we are comparing, the Nexus One is a millimeter thinner. They, HTC, have been able to include an AMOLED touchscreen as well as a superfast 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. This should make the Nexus One snappy, something confirmed by the many hands-on appearing on the internet.
A new phone is nice, also new is the Android version. Diferences with version 2.0 are for instance the other live wallpapers (animating wallpapers reaction to touch), 5 in stead of 3 homescreens (a few dots indicate on which homescreen you are and there's an icon view) and addedare several new animations for example for menucrossings. Also new is the way how the 'icon menu' with all available applications are shown. Notwithstanding the modifications are not substantial. Probably the modifications are the found under the hood, even though we can not check this.
