Xiaomi has already hinted at the upcoming POCO X7. The device is supposed to be "the most durable curved-screen device" in the segment. And that promise comes with rock-solid guarantees.
Because according to an image released by Xiaomi itself, the POCO X7 will have an IP69-rated casing. The first number in this ingress protection rating says something about dust resistance. Here, 6 represents the highest score; completely dustproof. The last number, 9, stands for moisture-proof. Even at 90% humidity and high-pressure spraying.
.By comparison; most other waterproof phones have an IP code of IP68. The 8 here stands for waterproof. That sounds adequate, but this only applies to specific conditions a a limited duration. Xiaomi claims for the X7 a depth of 2 meters for 24 hours.
Wet Touch Display 2.0
Even when the POCO X7 is wet, it can still be operated. Thus, Xiaomi touts the screen as Wet Touch Display 2.0 which means it can be operated even with wet or greasy fingers. The device also survives falls from 1.5 meters on a stone floor. And that's despite its 3D curved display.
