Oppo starts year with Reno15 F; smartphone with ample 7000mAh battery
The year is only two days old when Oppo has already announced its first device. The Oppo Reno15 F brings a recognizable device with many of the features of its predecessor. But with a larger 7000 mAh battery that can also charge much faster.
That the Oppo Reno15 F 5G looks a lot like its predecessor we can already see from the processor choice. Indeed, it is unchanged: the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. And yet Oppo saw reason for improvement and we find it in the battery area. There, the battery capacity rises from an already not crazy 6000 to an even wider 7000 mAh.

The battery is also almost twice as fast to charge; with up to 80 watts. For this you do need a suitable Oppo SuperVOOC charger that can handle such speeds. Once charged, you can get another 2.5 days. For that, the Reno15 F does need to be on the charger for a little over an hour. If you don't have that much time, you can still watch 5.4 hours of video with 10 minutes of recharging.
Sharper selfie camera with larger viewing angle
Other differences Oppo offers with the Reno15 F are a higher 50MP selfie camera. Not only has the resolution gone up from 32MP, so you can count on even sharper self-portraits, the angle of view has also been increased to 100°. This allows you to get more in the frame, useful for taking pictures of your friends as well, for example.

Other specifications include;
| Screen | 6.57" FHD+ AMOLED (unchanged) |
|---|---|
| Main camera | 50MP f/1.8 79° (unchanged) |
| Ultra wide-angle camera | 8MP f/2.2 112° (unchanged) |
| Macro camera | 2MP f/2.4 89° (unchanged) |
| Storage | 8+128, 8+256, 12+256, 12+512GB |

Oppo delivers the Reno15 F with ColorOS 16 which is based on Android 16. New in this is the smoother interface and various smart AI features. It also allows synchronization with macOS computers. So you can display your phone screen on your mac and copy/paste between the two.
