After the last introduction of the three new models and the new brand name is 3GSM the place to be for new BenQ Mobile devices
BenQ Mobile enters a new market segment with this set of new devices; the business UMTS market (S81), the music segment (EF51) and the new high speed HSDPA segment (EF91). All three devices have been shown today at 3GSM and will be around in the second quarter of this year.

BenQ Mobile EF51
Music on your mobile is HOT and BenQ Mobile has seen that too with the new introduction of the EF51. The new device is specially designed for people, which want to listen to music on their device. EF51 supports all possibilites needed.
The build-in MP3 player support all possible music files and will be flanked by a FM-radio. With the new Speech-to-Music functionality it will be possible to control the complete MP3 player just by using your own voice. The stereo speakers and 6-band equalizer will complement it all.
Other suprising parts of the new device are the flip which covers the standard keyboard, the special white and black colours in which the device will be available and the external keys for the MP3 player.
The device will be expected around the second quarter this year. Prices are not yet known.

music player that conceals an integrated mobile phone
MUNICH, GERMANY, February 13, 2006 - The EF51 from BenQ Mobile is the ideal music player with integrated mobile phone for heavy music users on the move. The EF51 is the ultimate listening experience that cuts no corners in comparison to standard music players - whether in design, feature configuration or operation. When closed, the mobile looks just like a music player. Clearly arranged play, pause, and fast forward and backward keys enable quick, convenient operation. Hidden behind a flap below the 1.6 inch color display is the mobile’s keypad. The integrated FM radio, together with a music player for all major music formats, ensures a complete music program.
All music files can be transferred from a PC onto the mobile via the USB cable supplied. However, any favorite song can also be recorded directly from the built-in radio. Interchangeable miniSD™ cards provide sufficient storage capacity for many hours of music. A particularly convenient feature is the voice-operated music selection (Speech-to-Music™) function. Long-winded searching for the desired song is thus finally a thing of the past! Uncompromising musical enjoyment is ensured by the innovative music mobile’s 3D surround sound. Musical creativity will now know no bounds. Using the integrated 6-band equalizer, the tone color of a piece of music can now be changed entirely according to personal taste. A Display Lyrics feature shows the text of the music being played on the screen. Apart from any amount of music, the BenQ-Siemens EF51 also has a 1.3 megapixel camera on board to enable personal experiences to be captured at any time in spontaneous shots.
The EF51 is supplied with a stereo headset and a USB data cable. Moreover, the Headset Bluetooth® Stereo (EU/UK) HHB-180/181, that is available as an original accessory, provides wireless listening convenience.

BenQ Mobile EF91
This new model is speciallty designed for own purpose only; HSDPA. The quicker ansestor of UMTS is a new development on high speed internet, streaming music and videos. The new device that is build in a clamshell format will be equipped next to this new technique with a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, MicroSD memory card slot and internal antenna.
BenQ Mobile is next to the big players as Nokia and Samsung the third brand to bring out a HSPDA model to the market. The expectation is that the device will be around in the summer. Prices are not known at this stage.

The EF91 marks a milestone in mobile multimedia

BenQ Mobile S81
This new ultrathin UMTS model is one of the smallest UMTS models introduced to market this year. With its 13 mm thickness the device will be a close competitor to other new UMTS products. The S81 will be equipped with a VGA camera on the front for video calls, a MP3 speler which support MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR and WMA files and a 1.3 megapixel camera with 10x digital zoom and a flash. Furthermore a 262k colour screen is available same as MicroSD memory slot.
The device is planned for the second quarter of this year and will be focussed at the market segment in which business users want to have a slim device with support of business features as UMTS and synchronisation of data with a PC. Prices are also not yet known.
