Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra already on sale: Dubai breaks embargo with hands-on
The official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is still a day away, but stores seem to be stocking up already. A store in Dubai has several units waiting for new owners, and one person has reportedly already purchased one.
Accelerated release: Will S26 Ultra hit shelves sooner?
Samsung seems keen to start sales shortly after the launch of the S26 Ultra, S26+, and S26. Sales usually begin one week after the unveiling, but the fact that units have already reached stores suggests the release may come sooner.

Hands-on scoop: YouTuber Sahil Karoul unboxes white model
Those traveling to Dubai can already purchase the device. Content creator Sahil Karoul bought a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in Dubai and filmed an unboxing. In the video, he compares the device to last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The YouTuber obtained a white version of the S26 Ultra and showcases the device. One detail shows that the rounded frame allows the S Pen to be inserted only one way. The video also confirms that the stylus lacks Bluetooth.
Privacy Display: No need for screen protector
The most interesting part of the video is the demonstration of the new Privacy Display around 5:20. Once activated, the screen is only legible from the front. From an angle, brightness drops sharply to prevent others from seeing the content. A 'Maximum privacy protection' option is also available, though Samsung warns this may affect standard viewing from the front.

By incorporating this feature, Samsung ensures that consumers no longer need to buy separate privacy screen protectors. The feature can be disabled when not needed to enjoy higher brightness and better color accuracy—qualities that physical screen protectors often degrade.
