European prices Google Pixel 9a leaks out, but where is the Netherlands?
The U.S. prices of the Google Pixel 9a had been leaked earlier. We had already converted those to Euros to get an idea, but we were wrong it turns out. A list of European prices has now appeared but on it the Netherlands is conspicuous by its absence.
We do assume for convenience that Google will release the Pixel 9a in the Netherlands. And if not, Dutch web shops will come up with something to release the cheaper Pixel device here. After all, that also happened with previous editions including the Pixel 8a and 7a.
.Earlier, we were still assuming prices between €499 for the 128GB model and €599 for the 256GB version. In retrospect, that turned out to be a bit too optimistic, as the table below illustrates.
- Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Spain: €549 - €649
- Ireland: €559 - €659
- United Kingdom: £499 - £599
Big absentee in this list is our own country. Presumably we are among the first group with the 128GB model costing €549 and €649 for the one with 256GB of storage. That's €50 more than we previously thought but equal to the prices of the Pixel 8a last year.
The launch of the Google Pixel 9a is still scheduled for March 19 with the first availability being on March 26. Provided the rumors are true.
