Official press renders of the ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge have emerged

Images have appeared that do look very much like the official press renders of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Although this ultra-thin device has already been shown to the public, the press material had not yet been distributed. Possibly because the design was not yet final. That now seems to be the case with the arrival of these images.

Samsung admitted the existence of the S25 Edge during the Unpacked event where the S25 series was announced. We were shown the device after which it immediately became clear that this was an extremely thin phone. After that, things remained quiet. Samsung released no press release, no specifications and certainly no press materials.

This created the impression that Samsung had to show the device headlong to get ahead of Apple. After all, they are also working on an ultra-thin phone in Cupertino; the iPhone 17 Air. By showing a prototype in advance, Samsung could not later be accused of blatantly copying the competition.

Titanium frame

Now that the press materials are in, the design seems final. According to Roland Quandt of Winfuture, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will come out in three colors; Titanium Icy Blue, Titanium Silver and Titanium Jet Black. This naming scheme leaves nothing to be desired; the frame of the S25 Edge is made of titanium. A notable choice because of the added weight of this choice of material.

As we already knew, the S25 Edge will get two cameras on the back instead of three, this to save space. According to the source, these are a 200MP and 12MP one. Unfortunately, a separate telephoto lens is missing although theoretically the 200MP sensor can be zoomed in without experiencing immediate loss of quality.

Definitive specifications we always don't have yet. Therefore, we are still waiting to see exactly how thick the S25 Edge is, how big the battery is and what processor the device has. There have been some reports about that, but we are eager to hear from Samsung itself.
