We already brought you a photo of the Pixel 9 Pro in mid-April, but this time we have a photo showing all three future Pixel 9 models.
Google is clearly breaking new ground with the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro will be the same size but differ in specifications. Hereby, the Pixel 9 Pro will get a third camera with periscope lens to zoom in further and sharper.
For those who like things a little bigger, or are blessed with big hands, there is the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It fulfills the role that the Pixel 8 Pro took on last year. For those thinking, that sounds a lot like what Apple is doing, that's true. But why would Google reinvent the wheel?
Glossy vs matte
What stands out from the photo is that the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL feature a matte-black back. The regular Pixel 9 has a glossy back.
In addition to a new strategy, Google is also tackling the shape of the camera bar. While it is still in the same spot, it now features sharply rounded corners. This is in line with previously surfaced renders and information.
Pixel 9 specifications
Screen sizes are said to come out to 6.24 inches for the Pixel 9, a more or less equal 6.34 inches for the 9 Pro, while the largest of the trio gets a 6.74-inch screen. Earlier rumors spoke of slightly smaller screens.
The source further reports that the entry-level Google Pixel 9 is equipped with 12 GB of RAM memory, while the Pro models feature 16 GB. That's an increase of 4 GB from last year.
