Leaked images show new Sony Xperia 1 VII: here’s what to expect
The press renders of the Sony Xperia 1 VII seems to be in. We see the new Sony flagship in multiple colors with which Sony breaks with its predecessor. That one only came out in boring black. The Xperia 1 Mark 7 will be more colorful.
Sony has already announced the Xperia 1 VII on May 15. The first renders surfaced in early April and now the time has come for its state portrait. This time, the honor goes to Android Headlines who takes credit for it. They show the Xperia 1 Mark 7 in three colors; black, purple and green.

Very differently, the 1 VII will not look very different. Sony is always quite conservative with its designs. Like the Xperia 1 VI, the device will have a different screen ratio of 21:9 with thick screen bezels above and below. Sony is incorporating the selfie camera here instead of putting it in behind screen. Don't ask us why.
On the back we again see three cameras equipped with Zeiss glass and coating. It remains to be seen what specifications the camera of the Xperia 1 VII will bring. Sony always manages to surprise us positively with new technologies that still manage to somewhat justify the high price.

Marketing material 1 VII also leaked
In addition to press images of the device, the source of the message also managed to get hold of the marketing material. It is entirely in Japanese, which is not our native language. But thanks to Google Lens, we can get a long way.

So we learn that screen brightness is controlled with sensors on the front and back and with the help of AI. AI also helps when shooting video to keep the subject in the center of the frame (Auto Frame). The ultra-wide-angle lens gets a 2.1x larger sensor and there are some minor improvements to sound quality. We also don't want to give everything away before the presentation on May 15.
Then we'd also like to hear the price, which will no doubt be hefty. And when exactly the Sony Xperia 1 VII will be in stores.
