Xiaomi releases Redmi 15 with 7000 mAh large battery
Phone and power bank in one
Xiaomi has released the Redmi 15 5G with an impressively large 7000 mAh battery for a suggested retail price of €229. The device will go on sale from August 19 and seems to be the ideal choice for those suffering from battery stress.
Somewhere you wonder how they did it; getting a 7,000 mAh battery into an 8.55 millimeter thin phone. The answer is Si-C (Silicon-Carbon). This technology has a higher energy density and allows manufacturers to put more mAh into your phone. The 7000mAh battery in the Redmi 15 is enough for 2 days of use.
.In fact, the battery is so large that you can use it to charge other devices with 18W. This makes it a phone and power bank in one. Fast charging goes up to 33W but for that you need to buy a compatible charger first. It is not included in the box.
Redmi 15 inside and out
At the front of the Redmi 15 we find a 6.9-inch screen with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. This level will only be achieved with certain apps, think games. Inside the device we find a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 which gives away that we are dealing with a budget mid-range device here. On the back there seem to be three cameras applied but in reality there are two.

The main camera features a 50MP sensor with five-way f/1.8 lens. On top of Android, Xiaomi uses its own HyperOS 2 interface. Additional features are built in here and you can use Google's Circle to Search feature and the smart Gemini assistant. The whole thing is IP64 water resistant and comes with 4+128GB or 8+256GB of RAM memory+storage.
Xiaomi Redmi 15 on sale
Prices start from €229, how much the 8/256GB version costs more we don't know yet. But those who just need a lot of storage can also equip the entry-level model with a memory card. In fact, there is support for microSD memory cards up to 2TB in size.

Available colors are Midnight Black, Ripple Green and Titan Gray. The white and purple variant are not coming out here for now. Expect to find the Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G in stores starting August 19.
