Newly released animation tells more about how Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold works

The arrival of the Galaxy Z TriFold is getting closer and closer. We do not know when we will be able to hold the device, but we do know how to fold it. A newly released animation reveals more about this mysterious device.

That the Galaxy Z TriFold consists of three parts is well known, but it features two screens just like the current Galaxy Z Fold. In the TriFold, the outer screen sits in the middle of the two outer sections. The camera module is placed on the left part, on the right we see nothing (for now). This appears on a video posted on X.

The animation shows a face on the outer screen but not much more. Incidentally, the animation resembles previously leaked images, possibly those were also stills from the same animation. Those previously shown images were from a beta of One UI, the interface Samsung uses for its Android phones.

It is still unclear when Samsung will announce the device and what it will be called. So far we are using the name TriFold but there are more candidates. Earlier it was rumored that the device would be announced this month, but yet other reports talk about an announcement in October. We are still holding out for a 2025 unveiling though so we won't have to wait very long.
