The new Xpress music line-up of Nokia devices has been shown today. The new line-up consists of two new models and one rebranded model; the 3250 XpressMusic. The 5200 and 5300 XpressMusic are new and based on the succesful Nokia 6111 platform.

All the new devices do contain a standard colour scheme which consists of the colours white, blue, red and grey. Each device has got a suited colour scheme and gives a toy-like feeling when you first look at the new products.

They have standard specifications on board suited for the current market and will be available in the upcoming months. To give a better view at the three devices check out the phone pages or read the previews of the devices below.

The new 5200 is the most simple device within this line-up. It is the entry-level music device from Nokia and offers a VGA camera, slider form factor, 262.000 colour CSTN display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, external music player controls, 5 MB internal memory, MicroSD memory card slot, Email, MMS, SMS, XHTML browser, MP3 player and flight mode. The budget-friendly device will be one of the main drivers for Nokia within the music segment, but did not get the XpressMusic branding.

The other two devices do have the XpressMusic branding. One of them is the 5300 XpressMusic. A slider form factor device from Nokia with 1.3 Mpixel camera, 262.000 colour TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, external music player controls, 5 MB internal memory, MicroSD memory card slot, Email, MMS, SMS, XHTML browser, MP3 player and flight mode. This new device will be the main competitor for several Walkman series devices from Sony Ericsson. It will depend on the country which size of memory card is available in the package.

In this line-up of three the 3250 XpressMusic is the final one. The new Symbian smartphone from Nokia is based on the "normal" 3250 and got a new cover and 1 GB MicroSD memory card in the package. Furthermore the device contains a 262.000 colour TFT display, 2.0 Mpixel camera, Symbian v9.1 Series 60 3rd Edition platform, external music player controls, rotating keyboard, MicroSD memory card slot, Email, MMS, SMS, XHTML browser, MP3 player and flight mode.

The new devices have FM-radio and MP3 player capabilities that suite the current market. The audio quality difference between the new devices and the current Walkman devices from Sony Ericsson needs to be examined in the future.
