Ask any company about information on a yet unannounced device, and the answer is always; "no comment." Then, what to make of this video in which Samsung talks blatantly about the camera of the as-yet-unannounced Galaxy S24 Ultra?
The video details the potential of a 200MP ISOCELL camera paired with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Remember, Samsung has yet to release any phones with those components. However, that won't take long because we expect the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in a couple of months.
The video discusses a feature called "Zoom Anyplace." This feature automatically zooms in on the subject without turning the phone as long as the subject is in the frame. This is made possible because of the size of the 200MP ISOCELL sensor. It is large enough that even when zooming in, enough sharpness and detail remain. The feature is reminiscent of Apple's Center Stage, although that feature only works on a handful of iPads and Macs.
S24 Ultra camera specs
Samsung claims this AI-based tracking technology is made possible by a 200-megapixel resolution ISOCELL sensor combined with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In doing so, Samsung purposefully confirms some specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Other S24 models are expected to be equipped with a lower-resolution camera. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will only be used in the US and not Europe. The latter will get an Exynos 2400 chip but possibly with the same functionalities.
