Samsung Galaxy TriFold may be coming as early as this week, but not here
Samsung may announce its first-ever triple-fold phone, the Galaxy TriFold, on October 31 during APEC South Korea 2025. The annual event will be held this year from October 31 to November 1 in South Korea.
That Samsung is announcing the Galaxy TriFold in home country South Korea is significant; possibly the device will stay in that region as well. At least that's what insider Evan Blass thinks. He suspects Samsung will release the TriFold only in South Korea, China, Singapore and Taiwan. And there would be no plans for a wider launch.
Rumors of a launch as late as 2025 had been going around for some time, as well as a limited rollout. The latter gives Samsung time to iron out teething problems faster and see if there is a need for such a device at all. It is expected that the Galaxy TriFold will be more expensive than the Fold 7 is, and then holding a large inventory is not wise.
Price tag that scares you
Never say never, but it's not obvious that we can buy the Samsung Galaxy TriFold here anytime soon. Too bad because the three-piece foldable device is said to house a screen the size of a tablet, feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and come with a price tag so high it scares you. Maybe that's why it will be announced during Halloween.
