Apple introduces new iPad Pro with M5 chip

Apple has announced a new iPad Pro with the new Apple M5 processor. This makes it more powerful, especially for AI tasks. Important detail: The iPadOS still makes relatively little use of AI, so you won't have much use for it (yet).

The arrival of the M5 processor was already predicted. That the new chipset would end up in the Apple iPad Pro was obvious. Neither did Apple change much more, down to the default wallpaper. As a result, we now have an iPad Pro 11 (2025) and iPad Pro 13 (2025).

All the differences from the iPad Pro (2024) are due to the M5 processor with C1X modem. Think Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7 support. Staying the same are the screen, cameras and thin aluminum body. Storage options are also unchanged; 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.

Solid starting prices

You can buy the iPad Pro (2025) starting Oct. 22 for a starting price of $1119. You'll get the 11-inch model with WiFi only. For the version with 5G support, you'll pay €250 more. Those who prefer a 13-inch screen size can try their luck starting at €1469. Available colors are Silver and Space Black. For that money, by the way, you also have a MacBook Air.
