Palm Pre 2 and webOS 2 officially launched

A week after most of the details leaked, HP officially announced the Palm Pre 2. The design has few surprises, as most, rather impressive, improvements have been done under the hood.

Last week, The French provider SFR in its clumsiness already put the new handset online on the day of the release of Windows Phone 7. It's mainly the processorpower that improves big time. The Palm Pre had a frequency of 500 Mhz, the new Pre 2 doubles that, and can compete with the latest generation of smartphones. The phone runs webOS 2, a new operating system HP/Palms own system that works with card stacks to manage multiple applications. Those stacks are easy and intuitive to use.
