2000 apps in Windows Marketplace

One day after the American introduction of Windows Phone 7, the Windows Marketplace counts two-thousand apps. One of those is made bij Google.

Microsoft wants to keep track of the apps stores of Android and iOS. Both platforms have over 100,000 apps. According to the Redmond-based company, 13,000 developers have registered themselves, so many more applications are bound to come quickly.

One of the apps in Windows Phone Marketplace has been created by Google. The company developed its own search application for Microsofts new operating system, with a tile for the homescreen. Unfortunately, the app cannot be attached to Windows Phone 7's search button, that stays attached to Microsofts own search app Bing.
