Phones with fast charging
Need cell phone that you can fast charge? Here you will find an overview of all phones you can fast charge. So you don't have to wait hours for a full battery. And even a quick refueling is often enough to fill up the rest of the day.

By now, many cell phones have long since eliminated the need to wait hours for a fully charged battery. They feature fast charging. That only works with a corresponding fast charger. This is not always included so that is something to look out for when buying one. There are now several fast-charging methods, each with its own name. The most common is Qualcomm's "Quick Charge. But manufacturers have sometimes come up with their own techniques, including:
- Adaptive Fast Charge (Samsung)
- SuperCharge (Huawei)
- TurboPower (Motorola)
- Dash Charge and Warp Charge (OnePlus)
- (Super)VOOC (Oppo)
- PumpExpress (MediaTek)
It is highly recommended to always use the original charger and cable with your phone. Most charging problems even resulting in fire come because the original charger and cable were not used. Fast wireless charging is also possible nowadays but it does not (yet) reach the speed of wired charging. Want fast charging in the shortest possible time? Then turn off your phone while charging. That will make it even faster.
Power
One fast charger is not the other. This is because each fast charger works with a different power, also expressed in watts. The higher the power, the faster the charging. Officially there is no minimum to be designated as a fast charger, but in practice we see that chargers from 18 watts and up are designated as fast chargers. This is quite an improvement over the standard 5 watts of the past. As a rule, the higher the power (expressed in Watts or W) the faster your battery is charged.
Is fast charging harmful to your battery?
There are some ambiguities about fast charging and the effect it has on the battery. Some past problems such as overcharging, overheating and degradation have been largely eliminated. Your phone will automatically pause the charging process once it is full. Some phones reduce power as soon as the battery becomes fuller. And thanks to sensors, temperature is monitored. Degradation from fast charging is thus no worse than "normal" charging.
