The Xiaomi 12T Pro is more of a camera than a phone. That's because of its large 200MP camera on the back. Not only does it shoot very sharp pictures, but it is also very noticeable. How and what exactly, and what else can you do with it besides taking pictures? We're happy to explain here.
Our hearts always beat a little faster when we discuss a high-end flagship. This 12T Pro certainly falls into that category. Xiaomi has spared no expense and equipped the device with a 200MP camera. At the time of release, that is the most you can get in a cell phone. This 1/1.22" large sensor uses sixteen pixels to make one super pixel. One that is extra exposed and tremendously sharp. Thanks in part to the OIS stabilization. What is handy about such a large sensor is that you can also create a strong crop from existing photos. Whereas with other phones that often result in blurred images, Xiaomi ProCut does manage to get sharp results.
Another advantage of a 200MP camera is its ProFocus feature; while filming, it gets the subject in sharp focus at all times. Don't forget the other cameras on the back of the 12T Pro. These include an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a wide 120° viewing angle and a 2MP macro camera. The latter is a crazy choice because we would have preferred a separate telephoto camera with optical zoom. A macro camera brings things closer but at a very close range. And then of small things like insects. But then again, the 2-megapixel resolution is too low to get sharp images. All in all, it is a strange decision on a flagship.
All that impressive camera setup does have one drawback. The camera module on the back of the 12T Pro sticks out quite a bit, especially the part in front of the 200MP sensor. As a result, it is not stable on a flat surface. Inside, we find a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with at least 8GB of RAM. That's a combination that guarantees a smooth user experience. Storage memory comes in 128 or 256GB and is not expandable later. At the front of the 12T Pro, Xiaomi applies an otherwise fine 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a smooth 120Hz display. We say fine because we see it more often, but that may also be because we have become accustomed to it. The fact is that this AMOLED screen is just perfect.
We can't finish talking about this Xiaomi 12T Pro. After all, we need to talk about the battery. Which, at 5000mAh, while significant, is not above average. What is is how fast it can be charged. Because it is wired, it can be done with no less than 120 watts. Please, let's not get used to that because it's an awful lot. Xiaomi even promises a full battery in 19 minutes. A whole night on the charger is a thing of the past. Xiaomi supplies the required HyperCharge charger in the box. By the way, what the 12T Pro can't do, which is a bit of a shame then, is wireless charging. You can't have everything.
