Sagem showed a new range of products at 3GSM, which will be in the portofolio for the coming year. Also mobile TV was an issue at the Sagem stand.
The brands which is one of the most selling prepaid brands in Europe showed on 3GSM a line of new products. The MY 100X, MY200X, MY 700X, MY 800X and MY MobileTV were showed to the world together with several familiar devices (Z-5, X-5-2v) and accessories.
The new models are ment for the lower segment of the current market and that is the position that suits Sagem. The new line shall consolide this and even strengthen it. Next to these new models the ultra-thin MY 300X and MY 400X series were shown. Some of these devices already hit the market in the past months.
Next to the mentioned models the following devices need to be talked about; Sagem MW 06 and MY 800X. Both are not officially introduced, but NewMobile got the option to check them out and shoot the first pictures of this second 3G/UMTS model and first Wifi smartphone from Sagem. The MY 800X is planned for the second quarter this year and will be a cheap alternative for current 3G models. The MW 06 is not available soon, but shows that Sagem is busy with a successor for the S-7.
Also mobile TV was an issue at Sagem. The MobileTV device that especially is introduced as a testmodel is a direct copy of the MY X-8 and got a mobile TV receiver and MicroSD memory card slot. The standard DVB-H is used in this new black device. The device was shown to NewMobile at the event by the Sagem employees.
