First proof of existence of Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 found

Of course we know it's coming; the 8th iteration of the Galaxy Watch. Like every year, Samsung's smart watches are presented sometime in the fall, and this year will be no different. But evidence we didn't have until now. This news changes that.

Because we have the type numbers of the Galaxy Watch 8 in. These are not very surprising; SM-L320, SM-L330, SM-L325U and SM-L335U. We write not surprising because the type number hardly differs from those of the Galaxy Watch 7 40mm, Watch 7 44mm, Watch 7 4G 40mm and the Watch 7 4G 44mm. And so a simple type number immediately tells a lot.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 type numbers.

So two formats and the choice of Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and 4G. But in addition, X user @theordysm reports type numbers of the "GW8C". Could this be the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic? There have been rumors for some time that Samsung wants to release another Classic version of the Galaxy Watch but concrete evidence of this was lacking. Samsung mostly used a rotating bezel on previous Classic watches.

Follow-up Galaxy Watch

In addition to the Galaxy Watch 8 models and a possible Watch 8 Classic, we also expect a successor to the Galaxy Ultra. This rugged timepiece competes with the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

As of yet, we have not seen any reports of a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Its predecessor was announced in July of 2024. Samsung traditionally introduces its new watches then so maybe we'll hear more then. But preferably sooner.
