Sales Samsung Galaxy S25 are 3x higher than S24
Chances are you are viewing this post on a Galaxy S25 series phone. In fact, Samsung sold an awful lot of them during the first few months after launch. In fact, the number of sales is three times higher than it was for the S24 at the time.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series in January of 2025 and they were the first phones to ship with One UI 7 out of the box. The devices have been in stores for several weeks now, so we can take stock. That one looks rosy at first glance, for example, sales in the first month are 3x higher than of the S24.
Sales in 1st month | |
---|---|
Galaxy S25 | 1,170,000 |
Galaxy S25+ | 840.000 |
Galaxy S25 Ultra | 2,550,000 |
Total | 4,560,000 |
As usual by now, the Ultra model went over the counter most often. That's good news for Samsung; the model is the most expensive and the margin on it is the highest. So under the bottom line, Samsung keeps the most. As in previous years, the Plus variant was the worst performing model.
If we add sales figures of the Galaxy S24 series in the first month, we arrive at this list;
Sales in 1st month | |
---|---|
Galaxy S24 | 320,000 |
Galaxy S24+ | 270.000 |
Galaxy S24 Ultra | 830,000 |
Total | 1,420,000 |
At first glance, that's quite a difference. A difference of 3.1x more even! But there are some things to note about that.
Preorders not included
For example, these figures do not include the number of preorders. Right after the unveiling, the registration period starts and it was higher for the S24 series than the S25 series. Although it doesn't make much difference; 240,000 versus 180,000. Furthermore, the period in which the new Galaxy S model went on sale differs making a one-to-one comparison difficult to give.

If we convert the total number of sales to sales-per-day, the S24 comes out at 240,000 units sold and the S25 comes out at 180,000. Moreover, analysts predict little good for the future. The number of global smartphone sales is said to have fallen below 100 million units for the first time in six months. Apart from India, sales are said to be declining in almost all markets.
