First renders show recognizable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
“Nothing you haven't already seen.”
Samsung is preparing a new low-cost foldable in the form of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. We now have the first images of it in, all thanks to @onleaks. And although this is a brand new device that we haven't seen images of before, the images show nothing new.
Samsung is doing with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE what Apple did with the iPhone 16e. Namely, Samsung is taking old components and putting them into a "new" device. The Flip 7 FE is similar in appearance to the Flip 6 but with a new sauce.

According to SammyGuru which was allowed to exclusively publish the renders from @onleaks the device features the same 3.6" cover screen as the Flip 6, i.e. with the familiar notch. The inner screen measures 6.8" which is 0.1" larger but that could also be due to how Samsung and @onleaks calculate the rounded screen edges. What is clear is that the Flip7 FE will be a bit thicker: 7.4mm versus 6.9mm.
Exynos 2400e
Samsung is reportedly planning to equip the Flip 7 FE with an Exynos 2400e. This chipset we previously saw in the S24 FE and is clocked slightly lower than the regular Exyos 2400.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to come out with One UI 7 including the many AI features Samsung has launched in recent years. Whether there will be any difference from the current Galaxy S25 series remains to be seen. We can imagine that certain AI features do not perform well on the less powerful Exynos chip and have therefore been omitted.
First Galaxy Z Fan Edition
Should the Z Flip 7 FE come out, possibly during the Galaxy Unpacked event after the summer, it would be the first Fan Edition for a foldable. Samsung previously released FE editions for its Galaxy S series but not for the Galaxy Z. Foldables tend to be a bit more expensive and did not lend themselves well to cheaper FE models. But we seem to have reached a tipping point and that may say something about the future price of the Flip 7 FE.
