Hard to believe: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 becomes thinnest foldable ever
Samsung is pretty much the inventor of foldables; phones that you can fold or close. Every year came small improvements, only in recent years Samsung was overtaken left and right by manufacturers who did manage to make thin foldables. Now the Fold 7 will put an end to that.
The first Fold was 17.6 millimeters thick when folded, the version after that was 16.8 mm. Samsung managed to reduce the thickness of the Fold 6 to 12.1 millimeters. All in all, a handsome performance but it still does not reach the thinness of the Oppo Find N5 of a whopping 8.93 millimeters. Not even the Fold Special Edition that was created specifically to stand up to it comes close at 10.6 millimeters.

It is therefore hard to believe that according to this rumor, the Fold 7 will be the thinnest booklet-foldable ever. With a folded thickness of 8.9 millimeters and unfolded even 3.9 millimeters. That's almost as thick as two ten-cent coins on top of each other. If this rumor is true then Samsung would have managed to take 3.2 millimeters off the Fold 6 and 1.7 millimeters off the Fold Special Edition.
The same battery capacity
According to the source of this rumor, who incidentally is not alone in this claim, Samsung is equipping the Galaxy Fold 7 with a battery 4400 mAh in size. That's as big as in the current Fold 6, but which is thus much thicker. So in that respect, this is good news.
We've seen the rumor about a much thinner Fold 7 before but didn't pay much attention to it then. It seemed too unlikely to us. Now that @UniverseIce is also backing this rumor, things are changing as far as we are concerned. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is not expected until the fall.
