Sony unveils Xperia 10 IV; more affordable Sony gets bigger battery

Sony doesn't make a lot of phones anymore, and most of them are then also hugely premium with an accompanying price tag. The Xperia 10 series is the odd one out, and this Xperia 10 IV is the latest. Affordable with still a lot of Sony technology inside. This time with a larger battery.

The Xperia 10 IV is not even that different from its predecessor; the Xperia 10 III. For example, there's still a 6-inch OLED screen with an elongated 21:9 ratio. And the triple camera (12+8+8MP) has also remained the same on paper.

The battery is different; its capacity increased from 4500 to 5000 mAh. Remarkable is this does not increase the weight. On the contrary, it even decreases, making the Xperia 10 Mark 4 a lightweight phone of just 161 grams.

Triple camera

The camera system of the Sony Xperia 10 IV consists of three cameras as mentioned above; a 12MP primary camera with a 27mm wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle (16mm), and an 8MP telephoto camera for 54mm zoom. These provide Sony with various features, including filters, backlight correction, and a night portrait mode. In addition, optical image stabilization is added to shoot sharp pictures even in dark situations.
