Samsung Confirms Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 22
New Galaxy Z Foldables on the Way
Samsung has sent out invitations for an event on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The new Galaxy Z phones are expected to be unveiled at this Galaxy Unpacked event, along with new smartwatches and wireless earbuds.
The event will be held in London and starts at 3:00 p.m. Central European Time. Anyone who wants to watch the event does not need to travel to the United Kingdom: the livestream can be followed directly via YouTube and Samsung’s own website. The invitation, which shows an admission ticket, reads in English, “A new form unfolds.”
This may be a reference to the new design of the Fold 8, which will be wider than its predecessor. The spiritual successor to the Fold 7 will then be introduced as the Fold 8 Ultra. It is still unclear how this device earns its Ultra designation. The return of S Pen support and a flatter screen are strong candidates.
Wearables Expected Alongside Foldables
We also expect the Flip 8 during this event, along with several new smartwatches and wireless earbuds. These may include the Galaxy Watch 9 and the Galaxy Able. The latter is a new type of wireless earbud that can be worn as a clip around the ear, just like the Huawei FreeClip 2.
There are also reports that Samsung plans to announce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, but we found no evidence for this. In the run-up to the event, Samsung will release teasers that may tell us more about which products will and will not be announced.
