Apple iPhone Air screen appears easy to replace, battery not
Zach from JerryRigEverything took an iPhone Air, put it through a bending test, and then screwed it wide open. Luckily, it was not for nothing, as we learned a lot from his biology lesson.
Apple has equipped the display of the iPhone Air with Ceramic Shield 2 which is three times more scratch resistant than the first generation Ceramic Shield. But as we know from the videos JerryRigEverything, glass is glass and glass breaks. So even with the Air, you run the risk of a broken screen after an unfortunate fall. Fortunately, there is something you can do about that.

Because while dissecting the ultra-thin Apple iPhone Air, we learn that replacing the screen is a chore that takes less than five minutes. And the rear glass is also relatively easy to replace by a knowledgeable professional. A battery change, however, gets a little trickier.
Battery change with 9V battery
Apple applies a 3149 mAh small battery. That's already small but will be even smaller after a year. So a battery swap is imminent. The iPhone Air also requires removing it with a 9-volt battery, something Apple applies from the iPhone 16 onward. You could buy the special MagSafe battery for the iPhone Air to get around this problem, but that comes with its own flaws.

Apple put the exact same 3149 mAh battery in that MagSafe accessory that you'd think would double your battery life. But with wireless charging, energy is lost so the iPhone Air MagSafe Battery can only transfer 65% of its capacity to your iPhone.
