Apple unveils iPhone 17 Pro (Max) with anodized unibody
The rumors were true: The newly unveiled iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max boast a new look and colors. Apple uses an aluminum unibody, and part of the back is made of glass.
Not infrequently, a just-announced iPhone appears as the leaked images as the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Right down to the color. For the first time, Apple is applying an anodized aluminum unibody that, along with a Vapor Chamber, better dissipates heat from the A19 Pro chip.

The camera island, dubbed camera platform by Apple, now stretches across the entire width but still contains three cameras. All three appear to be 48MP, each with its own function; a main camera with wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle as well as a telephoto lens with now 8x instead of 5x zoom.
Professional video camera
The camera is now capable of shooting video in ProRes Log, ACES, ProRes RAW and Genlock which can be a godsend for video enthusiasts and professionals. The front display, like other iPhones, now gets the sturdier and more scratch-resistant Ceramic Shield 2 but the rear glass is strangely still Ceramic Shield 1.
There was room inside the 17 Pro for a larger battery, and those who opt for the eSIM-only model can count on an even larger battery. Whether Apple gives you that choice by country remains to be seen; the device is only available for preorder starting Friday, Sept. 12.
Center Sage selfie camera
Other innovations include the improved selfie camera called Center Stage, which captures the same number of pixels in both portrait and landscape thanks to its square sensor. Although you will find the same 18MP camera in both the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air.
.The more powerful and durable Apple iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will be in stores starting Sept. 19 in silver, deep blue and cosmic orange. Storage starts at 256GB and rises to an eye-watering 2TB for the Pro Max. Prices remain the same as last year, which is $1329 for the entry-level iPhone 17 Pro and $1479 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
