CEO RIM responds to verbal attack by Steve Jobs

Let the battle begin! RIMs CEO Jim Balsille as well responded to the strong verbal attack by Apples CEO Steve Jobs in an interview. Yesterday, Android lead developer Andy Rubin responded, now it's Balsilles turn.

Jobs'words can hardly by seen as diplomatic. Most probably, they were meant to get trigger a reply from Apples competitors. Andy Rubin only sent a funny tweet (with a serious bottomline).

RIM replies to Apple

On Jobs' comment that there won't be a market for 7 inch tablet PC's: "For those of us who live outside of Apple’s distortion field, we know that 7″ tablets will actually be a big portion of the market and we know that Adobe Flash support actually matters to customers who want a real web experience. "

On the open platform discussion: "We also know that while Apple’s attempt to control the ecosystem and maintain a closed platform may be good for Apple, developers want more options and customers want to fully access the overwhelming majority of web sites that use Flash. ".

And to Finish: "We think many customers are getting tired of being told what to think by Apple."
