Design Samsung Galaxy A72 5G out in the open

Images of the Galaxy A72 5G have arrived. This is somewhat remarkable considering the device has yet to be announced by Samsung.

Earlier it was rumored that the A72 would be the first Galaxy A phone with 5 cameras on the back. Samsung clearly had other intentions, the images below show 'only' 4. The same can be found on the A71. The camera module of the A72 5G does get a new look that is clearly inspired by the premium Galaxy S-series.

According to @onleaks the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G is made of plastic but looks and feels like glass. Samsung calls this style Glasstic and uses it in other A-serie phones. The screen measures a large 6.7 inches and has a round cutout for the selfie camera. This is a so-called Infinity-O Display. However, the punch-hole seems to be significantly smaller than on the A71

Other pictures from Steve show that the A72 5G has a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones and a USB-C input. From the name we may conclude that it has 5G support. It is not yet known which chipset Samsung uses for this, but it might be its own Exynos chip. Date of announcement is still unknown, but expect an announcement somewhere in 2021.
