Usually Samsung doesn't respond to rumors. But because of the large amount of rumors about the discontinuation of the Note series Samsung decided otherwise. For 2021 there will be another Galaxy Note phone. But if that also applies for 2022 remains to be seen.
The Galaxy Note series has a special place in our hearts. We remember very well the first moment we held one in our hands. We also remember how full of horror we were about the ridiculous huge size. But times change and so do opinions. What also helped is that it became much less wide and therefore easier to handle. We also remember the fuss that arose when Samsung didn't give the Galaxy Note 5 a world wide release. From then on it became clear to Samsung how popular the series was.
The Note 20 Ultra will have a successor in 2021.Nevertheless, the series seems to be going under due to its own success. Almost every phone became bigger; that was the biggest selling point of the Note. And support for the S Pen seems to be headed to non-Note phones as well. Rumor has it that the S21 Ultra supports the S Pen. And with that, the Note series loses it unique place in Samsungs line-up. Too bad, but that's just the way it is. A soon goodbye of the Note-series is not expected. Speaking to a Korean newspaper, Samsung admitted it's working on the Note 21 for 2021. But in a editorial, Samsung also makes it very clear that specific Note-features are coming to other models. And with that, it also predicts the beginning of the end for the Note.
