Google Pixel 9 Pro render surfaces earlier than usual

Life has some certainties. We die, we have to pay taxes, and Google Pixel phones leak early. So does the Pixel 9 Pro, which is not expected until late 2024. With that, it leaks out even earlier than usual. Handsome!

Google is not very good at keeping secrets. Its phones, without exception, all leak early. The only question is; when? For the Pixel 9 Pro, that question is answered today. Only three months after the Pixel 8 Pro was released, images of its successor are already on the street.

Immediately noticeable is that Google also applies flat sides, just as Samsung did with the S24(+) and Apple did earlier with the iPhone. But the camera bar is also different from what we are used to from Google. Instead of taking up the entire width of the device, it now lies loose on the back. With this, it is very reminiscent of the Pixel Fold.

Zooming in further on the cameras, we count three. Google normally applies a periscope lens to its Pro models and that seems no different for the 9 Pro. The source further reports that the device features a 6.5-inch display and that its dimensions are nearly identical to its predecessor. Notable, as the 8 Pro still features a 6.7-inch screen.

The Google Pixel 9 series is not expected until the second half of 2024, probably during the annual Made By Google event. In 2023, that took place in October. So we still have a while to go.
