Exclusive: Renders Reveal International Versions of Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra

The international versions of the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are on their way, and we’ve obtained the first renders. There aren't many surprises, as both phones have been available in China for some time. The same, unfortunately, applies to the Xiaomi 17 Pro, which remains missing from the European market.

Xiaomi 17 series ready for international rollout

Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 17 (and 17 Pro) on September 25, 2025, followed by the 17 Ultra on December 25. While Europe celebrated Christmas, the devices were launched on the Chinese market. With the appearance of these renders, it looks like the international launch is imminent. Indeed, we just received the images below from our trusted source.

Starting with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in a trio of colors: green, white and black.

According to the accompanying energy label, the 17 Ultra features a battery life of 63 hours and 4 minutes. That's slightly less than the Chinese version that comes with a larger 6800mAh battery. The international version will get a 6000mAh battery. Because Xiaomi uses new silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology for higher energy density, the device remains remarkably thin.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is Xiaomi's thinnest Ultra smartphone to date (8.29 mm) and the first in this line with a fully flat screen. The display is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 and offers a brightness of 3500 nits. The camera ring, unlike the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, is not rotatable but the 200MP main camera does feature a large 1-inch sensor for extra detail and sharpness.

Renders of the international version of the Xiaomi 17 have also surfaced. The device is expected here in blue, green and black while a white and pink version also exist in China. Whether those will be released globally remains unknown.

The screen bezel of the Xiaomi 17 is extremely thin at 1.18 millimeters. By using an M10 panel, the screen brightness is also high (3500 nits). This makes reading outdoors a breeze. The primary camera uses a Sony Light Fusion 950 sensor of 50 megapixels. Whether the European version will also get a smaller battery than the 7000mAh in the Chinese version remains to be seen.

Europe misses out on the Xiaomi 17 Pro (Max)

For now, Xiaomi is not planning to release an international version of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Both phones are distinguished by the second screen on the back which led to many positive reactions.

Presentation around MWC: These are the prices

The question remains when Xiaomi will announce the international version of the 17 series. A post by X/@heyitsyogesh on Feb. 2 possibly clarified that. He claims a launch before the start of Mobile World Congress (MWC). That event starts March 2 in Barcelona.

The lineup reportedly includes the Xiaomi 17, the 17 Ultra and the 17 Ultra Leica Edition. Prices of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra are expected to be high. A post on Feb. 1 from @MysteryLupin talks about a starting price of €1499. This configuration includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. With these specifications and its expected starting price, Xiaomi is taking on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
