HTC significantly scaled back its phone business since 2015, and today we only see a maximum of two phone announcements per year. June 12, 2024 will be another such moment; that's when HTC will introduce a new phone. But which one?
We don't have to tell you the answer to that but HTC is already providing a first snapshot. We see what looks like the side of the device. The accompanying text on the invitation reads:
"I can't wait to finally say it! 024/06/12~8AM.
HTC's new phone 2024 is coming, keep an eye on htc.com"
The question remains as to which phone HTC will present on Wednesday, June 12? A logical answer would be the HTC U24 Pro that surfaced in late April of 2024. If the rumors of the time are true then this is a midrange phone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
HTC Vive
HTC phones of recent years have almost all been midrange phones with integration for the HTC VR glasses called Vive. With this product category, HTC currently manages to survive although that remains to be seen for the future as Apple has also entered that market with the Vision Pro.
