Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra gets rounded S Pen & bulging cameras

Samsung is planning to give the upcoming S26 Ultra very rounded corners, and the S Pen will have to follow suit. Not that it will disappear, on the contrary, but it will be rounded. We also have news about the thickness of the device and especially the cameras.

News of today's Galaxy S26 Ultra comes from @UniverseIce. This well-known tidbit knows how to get information about unannounced phones more often than not. Therefore, it is right that we always pay extra attention when a tweet from this person passes by.

The image above is not a leaked image, but a representation of what is to come based on rumors. The same is true about the image below. In it, we see the alleged S26 Ultra from the side next to the current Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. All those cameras take up space, which makes the camera island stick out quite a bit.

S26 Ultra: thinner but still looks thicker

Still, it's slightly less than Xiaomi's, though the difference is almost negligible. Should Samsung stick to the angular design shown in the image, it will still look thicker despite the thinner body. Perhaps Samsung could just take the cheese slicer over it so that corners become even more rounded.

If the rumors are true, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features a camera system consisting of a 50MP telephoto but with an inferior camera sensor. For example, the IMX854 performs significantly worse than the GN8 in the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, according to @UniverseIce.

Samsung still has some time to tinker with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The device is not expected until early 2026 along with the S26 Pro and the S26 Edge. There will not be a Plus model next year for the first time in a long time.
