Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra approved for Thai market

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is another step closer to its official launch. The device recently received its NBTC certification. This has made it suitable for the Thai market.

None of this should come as a surprise; the S24 Ultra is expected in early January 2024. Like previous years, the device will be available for sale worldwide, including Thailand. But then it must be approved. In Thailand, this is done by the NBTC.

NBTC approval of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

And they have just approved the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Other countries are expected to follow soon if they haven't already. The NBTC report further shows that the device has type number SM-S928 and supports dual SIM.

S24 Ultra specs

The report does not give other specs, yet we already have a lot, thanks to previous leaks. Thus, we expect a 6.8-inch large device with S Pen support, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and 12GB of RAM. The battery reportedly comes out at 5000 mAh and can be charged quickly with 45W. With this, the Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to look like a minor update.

AI Phone

Yet, in practice, it probably won't be. Samsung wants to bet big on AI. Samsung may even name the device an "AI Phone. The brand name for this has already been registered. What additional functionality this will bring remains to be seen. Earlier, some of these features were rumored to be available on a subscription basis.
