OnePlus announces compact flagship OnePlus 15T in China

OnePlus has announced the successor of the 13T in China. The OnePlus 15T is also considered a compact smartphone, but with a large 7500 mAh battery. And that without making it much thicker. This keeps the thickness below 8.5 millimetres. No announcements have been made regarding an international release.

OnePlus is currently in the spotlight but for the wrong reasons. For example, there are several rumours of an exit from the international stage. With that in mind, we must strongly take into account that we will never officially see this OnePlus 15T here in Europe. Perhaps thru imports, but not thru OnePlus itself.

Compact OnePlus 15T rolls out in China

Like the predecessor of the 15T, this is a compact model with a screen diagonal of 6.32 inches. This would make the device easy to store in a pocket or handbag. The strongly rounded sides probably also make it comfortable to hold. But beneath that friendly casing lurks a true monster.

OnePlus 15T specifications: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 7500 mAh Si/C

Inside, we find a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, Qualcomm's most powerful chip at the moment. And with a 7500 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and an extra tough IP69K casing, this flagship may last longer than many a consumer.

The dual rear camera system consists of a 50MP main camera with a seemingly mediocre f/1.8 aperture, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x periscope zoom. An ultra-wide-angle camera is therefore missing. Available colours are white, brown and green, and finally you still have to choose between 12/256GB or 16GB/1TB of storage. Prices start from CNY 4299, which is approximately 540 euros, but as mentioned, the device is only available in China for now. And if previous rumours turn out to be true, it will stay that way.
