Leaked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 renders show stagnant design

Leaked CAD renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 show few differences from its predecessor. The same applies to the dimensions. What exactly is Samsung withholding?

We have to search with a magnifying glass for differences between the Flip 8 and Flip 7. The dimensions are almost identical, and the number of cameras and the layout on the outer screen look identical. That means two round camera lenses on an otherwise full-screen front.

And the selfie camera inside is also in its old familiar spot. The creator of these renders, @onleaks, even used the same blue colour as the Flip 7, suggesting he also doesn't know what's different this year. The renders appeared this time on MyMobile, which placed the highest bid with @onleaks.

It is worth noting that such CAD renders may differ from the production version of the Flip 8. In a way, that is to be hoped for, as such little change is unusual even for Samsung. We are partly hoping we are looking at the Flip 8 FE here, but perhaps that's asking too much.

Should this actually be the Flip 8, the differences will be found under the hood. Think improved camera sensors, faster chipsets, or updated AI features.

Samsung usually announces its new foldables in early summer, presumably in July 2026. In addition to this Flip 8, a new Fold and possibly a third foldable are also expected then. The latter will be wider than the Fold and will have a widescreen format after being unfolded. Whether there will also be a successor to the TriFold this year is unknown.
