“Xiaomi 16 gets much larger battery”
The Xiaomi 15 has only been in stores in Europe for a month but information about its successor is already surfacing. The Xiaomi 16 will not be much bigger but it will have a significantly larger battery. The largest of its kind even.
We have barely recovered from not releasing the 6.3" large OnePlus 13T with 6260 mAh battery in Europe or Xiaomi is already making up for it. Indeed, the 6.3" large Xiaomi 16 will get the largest battery of all 6.3" phones. So count on at least 6270 mAh of battery capacity, altho a number between 6,500 and 7,000 mAh sounds more plausible.
The otherwise obscure source further reports that the Xiaomi 16 features a triple 50MP camera system with telephoto camera and ultra-wide angle. The latter lens was still missing on the OnePlus 13T. The device should further run HyperOS 3 probably based on Android 16. Google has yet to officially announce that Android version.
.It remains to be seen what all of this rumour is true. Xiaomi usually announces new flagships around October in China. The rest of the world then follows some time later. For example, the Xiaomi 15 did not come out in Europe until March 3.
