Nothing Unveils Entry-Level Phone (4b) with Lower Starting Price

Today, the British company Nothing unveiled the Nothing Phone (4b). Altho the device is simpler than the 4a, which was released earlier this year, it still features the signature Glyph lighting on the back.

With the introduction of the Phone (4b), Nothing is expanding its Phone 4 series, which already included the Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro. This 4b is clearly the most basic of the trio, with the lowest starting price as well. Nothing has set the pre-order price at €329. Units will ship on July 17.

Nothing Phone (4b) comes in black as well as white and blue

For that price, you get a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation. A feature also found on the 4a. What’s missing is a telephoto camera for zooming. There is also an ultra-wide-angle camera with a wide 120° field of view. Nothing hasn’t mentioned the sensor’s resolution yet, so it remains to be seen whether it’s the same 8MP camera as on the 4a.

Handy Glyph Bar

The unibody casing is available in blue, white, and black and comes with the same Glyph Bar as the Nothing Phone 4a on the back. This strip consists of four white and one red LEDs that provide information about things like timers or who’s calling. The idea is that this will reduce the need to unlock your phone as often.

Nothing equips the Phone 4b with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, which we previously saw in the Honour Magic8 Lite. Nothing pairs the chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 256GB version is available in India, but it won’t be released here. The device ships with Android 16 + Nothing OS 4.1 out of the box and will receive three years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
