Google: Pixel 11 series coming August 12
Google has sent out invitations for an event on Wednesday, August 12, where it will unveil the latest Pixel devices. The Pixel 11 series will be released a week earlier than last year's models.
The Made By Google event starts at 6:00 p.m. local time in New York City. Due to the time difference, it will already be August 13 here. In addition to the Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold are expected. The first details about the Pixel 11 series reached us as early as January 2025.

Recently, rumours circulated that Google will raise the starting price of the series by €100. Google is effectively forcing consumers into an upsell: the affordable 128GB entry-level model is disappearing and making way for a 256GB variant. Google is also grappling with rising memory chip prices and is looking for ways to pass these costs on to consumers.
Steep €100 price increase eliminates affordable entry-level model
The starting price for the Pixel 11 will then be €999, for the Pixel 11 Pro €1,199, the Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at €1,399 and for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold €1,999 must be paid. That is exactly €100 more than the previous generation, altho those entry-level models offered 128GB of storage.
On the invitation, we see the outlines of a gold-coloured, almost brown version. The Pixel 10 Pro also had a gold frame but the back was green. According to rumours, the Pixel 11 will appear in Midnight Haze (black), Light Sterling (grey), Fuchsia (pink) and Moss (green). The Pro series is expected in Midnight Haze (black), Light Fog (white), Dune (light pink) and Pine (green).
Expected Pixel 11 Specifications
Hardly any design differences are expected. For example, the distinctive camera island with rounded corners is still present. The Pixel 11 series may, however, feature a different 5G modem to improve battery life and the temperature sensor previously seen on Pro models will disappear. No need to mourn its loss; many reviewers described the sensor as a gimmick.
